Are you bored and looking for something to do? Well, a good back-to-school activity is to decorate your composition books. They are so black and plain and wouldn’t it be nice if you had a decorative cover for the whole year? Put stickers, tape, and even colored paper on your book. If your using it for reading maybe you could glue a piece of paper to it and write a poem on it. The possibilities are endless. Here are six ways that kids have done it (below). Have a look!

Okay, here are some clothes I like. One of my best friend’s wears clothes similar to the last three outfits in the picture.
This is guest blogger girl: I like the white winter clothes because it reminds me of a ski mountain.
Coolmaker girl: I like the 7th outfit because the purse is shiny and the boots are my just my style.
Some styles we like
Okay, let’s start from the top. First, you should get a cool tee. That tee should have a design that’s either complex or an interesting pattern. Then you have a choice of whether or not to wear a belt. If you go with a belt, don’t go too big. Skinny works. Next is the pants. If you go with jeans, we’d recommend skinny ones and you could go with some rips, too. Colored jeans are fine, too. Now for shoes. Slip-on high tops are fashionable and easy and quick to put on when you’ve got to run out to school or camp. A bright color stands out and can go with almost anything.

First things first: Invite at least 5 friends and other people who want to have fun. No fun sponges allowed.
The party should have a cool theme if its not for a special occasion. Examples of cool themes: Olympics, fiesta, poker, water…something crazy and fun.
You need to be free with yourself so get popcorn, order some pizza and chow down.
For decorations the party should be filled with streamers and balloons plus a huge cake, cupcakes, and/or cookies.
If you’re aiming for a slumber party get a new movie like The Avengers. If you have a pool or outdoor space be sure to use that. Make activities like soccer, dodgeball and crazy tag.
I just went to a party for my cousin’s graduation from High School. And if you’re aiming for fancy, hire a limo and get the cameras ready. You should be free to invite family members and you need to always, always, always get a gift.
Confetti Hats and Lots of Noise!
Pizza is a popular food eaten everywhere but no one makes it better than NYC. Bread, cheese and tomato sauce are three of our favorite things in one. Cooked till golden… it’s delicious!
Brooklyn is one of our favorite places to eat pizza (besides Italy, of couse). You can eat at DiFara’s, Anthony’s, Franny’s, San Remo’s and even more. You can get it with anything you want – from pineapples to pepperoni. For a fast dinner or even a fancy one, pizza is always on your side.
Come to Brooklyn for a cheesy delight. You won’t be sorry. Mangia! (eat in Italian)
Mmmmm cheesy PIZZA!
Wonderstruck is about two kids in different time periods who live in the same place. They’re both deaf and have no one around them. They walk around the city and explore new things but only later in the book do their paths cross and they meet each other. One of the stories is told in pictures and the other in words.
This is a great book that you should read. It is written and illustrated by Brian Selznick, who also wrote The Invention of Hugo Cabret (another great book made into a recent movie).

Two nights ago on June 1 the New York Mets had their first no-hitter in 51 years! It took them 8,020 games to get there. Johan Santana was the pitcher. The score was 8-0 with the Mets crushing the St. Louis Cardinals!

This game starts with Guy Dangerous running in a Temple on a road and you can make him jump, slide, turn and tilt to get coins. Later on when when you have enough coins you can buy power-ups, utilities, characters and wallpapers from the store.

These Manga-like characters with big eyes look super cute and are fun to draw. Here are some girl characters that are coolmaker girl favorites. My brother likes the one on the bottom right best. What’s your favorite character?

coolmaker girl: I give Minecraft 2 out of 5 stars because it’s not really fun. All you do is travel around and kill animals. It’s just weird.
coolmaker boy: I love Minecraft. I would give it a 5 out of 5 stars because it gives you a chance to experience living in the real world and let’s you build anything from treasure chests to iPods. You can even fight zombies and exploding creepers.
coolmaker girl: Okay, first of all, zombies aren’t real so it doesn’t really give you an “experience living in the real world”. Second of all, it’s just addicting and you have to play it on the computer for hours and hours and it makes you stupid.
coolmaker boy: I think of the zombies as robbers because they take all of your resources away and kill you but you can prevent that from happening. It isn’t addicting because you can stop playing it because you can pause the game and it teaches you to build things out of material that are in the wilderness.
